Parx Officials Say Child Left in Car Was Rescued Within 40 Minutes By Parking Lot Patrol

BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS) -- Officials at Parx Casino, in Bensalem, Pa., today were clarifying the timeline surrounding the discovery of a seven-year-old boy whom police say was left in the car while his father played blackjack inside the gambling hall.
A Parx spokeswoman says prior reports that the child was in the car in the parking lot for three hours are not accurate. While the father, Bryan Bolds, gambled for three hours, she says, their video surveillance from the parking lot shows a Bensalem community officer was on the scene 33 minutes after the father went into the casino and the boy was placed into a Bensalem police car seven minutes after that, for a total of forty minutes.
She says casino security remains vigilant when it comes to patrolling the parking lot, in the aftermath of several arrests of parents for leaving their children in vehicles while they gamble.
In this case, she says, it appears the child may have been lying down in the back seat of the car, out of view. And she says it appears the father may have deliberately tried to conceal the child by backing into the parking space.
