Papers' New Owners Welcome Familiar Face Back To Inquirer

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The new owners of Philadelphia's newspapers have lost no time bringing in new leadership. They're bringing back a familiar name to the Inquirer newsroom.
Two-time Pulitzer Prize-winner Bill Marimow was unceremoniously yanked as executive editor when hedge funds took control of the papers a year and a half ago, but two days after local investors bought the paper, Marimow was rehired for his old job.
This will be Marimow's third tour at the paper. He was a star reporter during his first stretch from 1972 to 1993 and returned as executive editor from 2006 to 2010.
He says he has no qualms about coming back. "I believe that local ownership is going to offer major benefits for the community and for the staff."
Marimow will start his new, old job on May first.
