Paoli Hospital Celebrates A Milestone

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)--Paoli Hospital is celebrating its 100th year serving the Chester County Community.
Hospital President Jim Paradis says the facility has gone through a lot of growing pains.
"There were certainly hard times. When we look back at the history for Paoli there were a number of occasions when the hospital was very close to closing its doors because of the financial hardships it faced and it was able to continue and grow because we were saved the support of our community, by generous donors."
He says the hospital started in just seven rooms located in West Chester and now it employs about one thousand people, with 400 physicians.
It is the county's only trauma center.
