COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (CBS) -- Pennsylvania state police are investigating an alleged assault on a ranch in Skippack Township. The victim was former Montgomery County district attorney and former county commissioner Michael Marino.
According to state police, troopers were sent about 5pm Sunday to the Red Buffalo Ranch, on Anders Road, for a report of an assault.
Police say a Department of Conservation and Natural Resources officer was performing a traffic stop in the parking lot when Marino, who owns the ranch, questioned what he was doing.
Police say there was an argument and Marino, 70, suffered a closed (non-bleeding) head injury. He was treated at Abington Hospital and released.
Police list Marino as the victim and describe the nature of the incident as a simple assault. Due to state police regulations, they did not identify the suspect.
