Police Investigate Attempted Murder, Suicide In Worcester Township

WORCESTER TOWNSHIP (CBS) - Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an attempted murder and suicide in Worcester Township that took place Sunday night. The incident left a local resident dead and her boyfriend in guarded condition.

Pennsylvania State Police say a domestic dispute resulted in a 47-year-old Worcester woman shooting her 50-year old boyfriend then turning a gun on herself.

The boyfriend is identified as Anthony Campisi. He is listed in guarded condition at the hospital of  The University of Pennsylvania.

Campisi managed to call 9-1-1 and alert State Police. When troopers arrived on the scene, the woman identified as Lois Galasso shot herself. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident took place at about 9 p.m. at Galasso's Bustard Road home in Worcester.

The incident remains under investigation.
