Pa. Officers Who Died In Line of Duty Are Honored in Harrisburg Ceremony

HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) -- Four police officers from the Philadelphia region who died in the line of duty were among those remembered today at the annual fallen officers' ceremony in the state capital.
The sounds of the Pittsburgh Police Emerald Society Pipe and Drum Corps filled the Forum Building in the state capitol complex as Governor Tom Corbett called on Pennsylvanians to raise their voices in thanks and support of police officers across the state.
"Raise your voices in their defense when you hear them unfairly criticized," Corbett said. "Raise your voices in prayer that someday we will be able to gather and say that every one of our protectors made it through a year safely."
A rifle salute and taps honored the memory of Chester police officer Avery Freeman, who died from surgical complications after injuring his knee on duty; Philadelphia police officers Brian Lorenzo (see related story) and Moses Walker Jr. (see related story); Plymouth Township police officer Bradley Fox (see related story); and trooper first class Blake Coble, killed while on duty in Beaver County.
