PA Governor's Race Poll Grabbing Attention

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A recent poll on the race for Pennsylvania governor has raised some eyebrows – and not just because of the results.
The CBS/New York Times survey by an Internet polling firm showed the race between Republican incumbent Tom Corbett and Democrat Tom Wolf as being much closer than other polls have.
That was one difference, but the other difference has to do with the poll's methodology.
Terry Madonna, director of the Franklin and Marshall College Poll, says only about 80-percent of Americans are on the Internet:
"So, when you begin to talk about Internet-only polls, you're excluding a fair number of individuals who might otherwise be interviewed. The second thing point is – as the pollsters themselves admit – this is experimental."
The CBS/Times poll showed Corbett within nine-points of Wolf, not including voters who say they're "leaning" toward a candidate.
Madonna's last poll, early last month, showed Wolf leading by 22-points without leaners.
