One Suspect Arrested, 2 Still On The Loose In East Oak Lane Home Invasion
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – One person has been arrested and police are searching for another wanted in connection with a home invasion in Philadelphia's East Oak Lane neighborhood.
Lakea Woods, 33, was arrested on May 12, 2013 and charged with robbery, aggravated assault and related offenses.
Police continue to search for another suspect, identified as 48-year-old Kevin Thompson, who also goes by the name Kevin Wilson.
Police say that on May 3, 2013 around 10 p.m., two unknown males and one female were captured on surveillance video entering an apartment building located on the 6600 block of 12th Street (see previous story).
Once inside, they knocked on the 55-year-old victim's door. When the man opened it, the suspects forced their way into the apartment, knocking the victim to the ground.
The female suspect then demanded money while the other two suspects proceeded to rob the man at gunpoint.
The suspects stole an undetermined amount of cash, an Xbox game system, prescription medication and a cell phone before fleeing the scene.
The third suspect in the home invasion has not yet been identified.
If you know the whereabouts of Kevin Thompson or have any information on the crime, police ask that you call Northwest Detectives or 911.
