One Of Several 'Chinatown Bus' Companies Ordered To Stop Operating

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - One of several bus companies commonly referred to in Philadelphia as the "Chinatown bus" has been ordered to stop operations by the federal government.
The bus company, Double Happyness Travel Incorporated, had a headquarters listed as Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. That location is a strip mall on Huntingdon Pike with no visible signage stating that a bus company operates there.

The Federal Department of Transportation issued an order, which says the company went out of service on December 23rd 2011 (last Friday).
In a news release issued on Tuesday, December 27th, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood declared the bus company "an imminent hazard" and said an investigation found many violations in the areas of vehicle maintenance, controlled substance and alcohol testing and hours of service.
Double Happyness Travel provided bus service between New York City and Wilmington, Delaware with stops in Philadelphia.
