On Veterans' Day, Montco Bridal Shop Gives Away Free Wedding Gowns
Erika von Thiel reports
HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. (CBS) -- In honor Veterans' Day, a Montgomery County bridal shop was giving away designer gowns today to military brides.
The first customers showed up at two in the morning and camped out, so they could get first dibs on the designer gowns that were being given away by "Yes To The Dress," a boutique named after the TV show.
It was all part of a Veterans' Day salute to the troops, and a first-come, first-served deal according to proprietor Steven Edwards (below left).
"We have, I think, 29 dresses out there that we are donating to these girls. They either have to be active duty military or their fiancé has to be active duty or has been to Iraq or Afghanistan," he said.

Gina Farrachi, 19 (in top photo), drove three hours from upstate Pennsylvania to try on a few gowns. She got married last May in a no-frills, hurry-up ceremony.
"We got married in the magistrate, with the judge, just to make everything final," she says. "He was being deployed. I only agreed to get that kind of married as long as we had a real wedding to follow. I want the real thing!"
She'll get the real thing -- with her fancy, free gown -- next September.
