On Holocaust Remembrance Day, Gov. Corbett Warns of Ongoing Anti-Semitism

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Governor Tom Corbett headed the list of dignitaries who took part today in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's annual commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Addressing a gathering in his reception room, Gov. Corbett pointed to recent news reports that pamphlets had been distributed in Ukraine telling Jews to register with authorities.
"How can any of us hear that and hear such a thing without becoming more convinced that the fight for survival of the Jewish people -– a fight between humanity and the forces of evil -– does not continue to this very day?"
During an event organized by the Pennsylvania Jewish Coalition, six holocaust survivors or family members of survivors took part, one by one, in lighting electronic candles to remember the millions who lost their lives as the result of Nazi atrocities.
