PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are investigating an armed robbery that took place inside Jules E. Mastbaum Area Vocational Technical School Friday afternoon.
Police say three armed robbers approached the Mastbaum student in the school's hallway shorty before 3 p.m. right after school let out.
Officials say two of those robbers were Mastbaum students.
"The third individual we do not know. The third individual allegedly had a mask on and was armed with some type of handgun," Chief Inspector Carl Holmes said.
Holmes says as soon as school officials were made aware of what was going on, they took action.
"The principal immediately went into lockdown procedures, once this was reported we then responded with city and school district personnel and proceeded accordingly," he said.
Police won't say what the student was robbed for, but they do say no injuries have been reported.
The lockdown was lifted around 4:20 p.m.
The incident remains under investigation.
