Officials Find More Than 13 lbs Of Cocaine Inside Man's Bag At PHL
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Authorities at Philadelphia International Airport reportedly arrested an Italian man with nearly 14 pounds of cocaine in his baggage on Saturday.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers conducted a random search of baggage arriving from international flights, and during that search, they detected six "brick-shaped anomalies" while x-raying Fabio Dalloco's bag.
Dalloco, 45, arrived from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He initially denied ownership of the Dunlop suitcase until officers found a baggage tag for the suitcase in his possession.
CBP officials say the cocaine weight 6,272 grams and just over 13 lbs, 13 oz. It has a street value of approximately $440,000.
