Officers Injured In 2-Car Crash In North Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Two Philadelphia police officers were hospitalized after being injured in a crash Tuesday morning.
The two-car crash happened at Broad and York Streets in North Philadelphia.
According to investigators, two female police officers were riding in a cruiser when it was struck by a civilian vehicle.
The impact caused the police cruiser to slam head-on into a utility pole.
Both officers were taken to Temple University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The condition of the driver in the striking vehicle was not immediately known.
The accident remains under police investigation.
