Officer Injured In 2-Car Crash In West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia police officer was taken to the hospital after being injured in a two-car crash early Friday morning.
The accident happened at about 1 a.m. at 49th Street and Walnut Street in West Philadelphia.
According to investigators, a police cruiser and a civilian car collided at the intersection.
The officer was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania to be treated for minor injuries. The driver in the civilian vehicle was not injured.
The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation.
