Off-Duty Officer Wounded In Accidental Shooting Inside South Jersey Home
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) -- An off-duty police officer was wounded after an accidental shooting at a home in Camden County, New Jersey.
It happened shortly before 3:00 a.m. Sunday at a home along Bromley Drive in Gloucester Township.
Police say an off-duty Gloucester Township Police officer was unloading a personally owned pistol, when the gun accidentally discharged.
The officer suffered a minor wound to the hand. No one else was injured.
The officer was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he was treated and released.
The shooting is under investigation.
