Ocean City, NJ Readies For Its Closeup as Location of Next Kristen Wiig Movie

OCEAN CITY, N.J. (CBS) -- Ocean City, NJ officials are excited as they gear up for the premiere next month of a movie shot in their shore town.
The Girl Most Likely is scheduled to be released July 18th.
"It couldn't come out at a better time, just when we are starting to hit our summer season," notes Michele Gillian, executive director of the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce. "And to be highlighted in these kinds of films, it's national recognition. And how much better could that be?"
Gillian (right) says you'll see a number of familiar sites in the film:
"Gillian's Wonderland Pier, they will see the Ocean City logo when you come in. (The film crews) were at Mack and Manco's Pizza. I know of all of the places they were, but I don't know if they were on the cutting room floor or in the movie. But I know those particular spots were filmed heavily."
She says they are planning a movie premiere at the new theatre on the Boardwalk.
Then, Gillian says, once the movie is released and they can verify all of the sites that made it into the film, they will put together a map so tourists can stop by and see all the movie places for themselves.
And Gillian says it's an honor that Ocean City was picked when you think of all the sites that were considered across the country.
