Obama Returns To Philadelphia Region To Push New Energy Policies
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – President Obama is expected to press his energy policies during a visit to a Bucks County wind-turbine plant on Wednesday.
Barack Obama visited Gamesa North America in Fairless Hills as a presidential candidate several years ago. Now he returns on Wednesday to attend a private town hall style meeting with workers at the plant.
"We are obviously very pleased that president has chosen to come back to our facility to promote his new clean energy policy," says David Rosenberg, spokesman for Gamesa North America.
While at the wind turbine plant, the president is expected to talk about ways to cut the nation's use of imported oil by one-third over the next decade by diversifying its energy sources.
