NYC Man Admits Role In NJ Pharmacy Burglary
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Federal prosecutors say a New York City man has admitted his role in a plot to break into a central New Jersey pharmacy and sell narcotics for cash.
David Mordukhaev of Brooklyn pleaded guilty this week to conspiracy to distribute Oxycodone and possession of Oxycodone with intent to distribute. The 22-year-old Mordukhaev faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine when he's sentenced Dec. 3.
Prosecutors say the burglars entered the Marlboro pharmacy in June 2012 and filled 17 garbage bags and two cardboard boxes with merchandise, including thousands of pills. The stolen merchandise was valued at $350,000.
Mordukhaev admitted he stole the drugs knowing they would be sold for profit.
