2 Killed, 4 Injured In Crash On Atlantic City Expressway

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) -- Two people, including a four-year-old, were killed and four others were injured in a one-car crash on the Atlantic City Expressway Friday morning.
The accident happened at about 7 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the Expressway in Hamilton Township, New Jersey.
Investigators said six people were riding in a pick-up truck -- three in the bed of truck and three in the cab -- when it lost control and overturned.
According to investigators, two of the passengers in the cab of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased victims were identified by police as 35-year-old James Dennis and a four-year-old boy.
Dennis, the father of three, lived in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia. His family says he worked construction.
"He took care of everybody. If anybody needed help, he never said no," a family member said. "He was a very good man. Good father, good uncle, good cousin, brother."
The driver, 45-year-old Roselyn Kornegay, is in critical condition at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.
The three passengers in the bed of the pick-up -- 19-year-old Brian Gregory, 18-year-old Shaniqua Abrams and an unidentified juvenile male -- are all listed in serious condition at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.
As a result of the crash, all westbound lanes of the Expressway were shutdown for several hours between the $3 tolls and the Hammonton exit.
The deadly crash remains under investigation.
