Northeast Extension Reopens After Tractor Trailer Jack-Knifes
LANSDALE, Pa. (AP) -- Traffic is moving again on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike after a jack-knifed tractor-trailer closed northbound lanes in Montgomery County.
The turnpike's operations center says the right lane remains closed while repairs are made between the Mid-County interchange and the Lansdale exit.
Officials say the crash happened just after 5 a.m. Tuesday and traffic started moving again around 7:30.
Icy, snowy conditions have the entire Northeast Extension operating under a weather emergency. The speed limit has been reduced to 45 mph for more than 100 miles of roadway.
