North Philadelphia Residents Celebrate And Honor Logan Community
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's a love-ly day in one North Philadelphia community.
Let's Love Logan Day is a day to celebrate a close community that's on its way back from sinking homes, crime and slow development. Charing Ball is community organizer for the Logan Community Development Corporation.
"Residents, lifelong residents, people who have been in the neighborhood for upwards of forty years have seen the community go through a number of changes, some of them not so good, but their love for the community has never really left," Ball says.
During the all-day celebration in T-S Park on Old York Road, many Logan neighborhood leaders will be honored for their work in making their community a better place.
