Nobody Does The 4th Like Phila.

Philadelphia is celebrating America's birthday with several events throughout the Fourth of July weekend, but this year it started a week early with a free concert and fireworks display on Saturday.
Melanie Johnson, executive director of Wawa Welcome America, says there's a lot to see:
"Oh my gosh! We are so excited about this year's festival because we have three fireworks shows!"
There's a Fourth of July concert and fireworks display on Ben Franklin Parkway on Sunday, there's also a fireworks display the night before at Penns Landing. If you can't wait a whole week, there will also be fireworks on Saturday night at Penns Landing after the Morris Day concert.
Johnson says Day was a protege of Prince who came up with the bird dance:
Kuznits: "Describe the bird."
"Well, your hands are out at your sides, your hips are moving, your legs are going and you're just swinging around and you're doing the bird!"
She says fireworks tend to be a highlight:
"We have a really good producer who does the soundtrack. They actually sync all of this together so that when the fireworks are going off and you're seeing this great visual, you can also hear the music that goes along with the fireworks!"
KYW Newsradio 1060 will be proving the soundtrack to the fireworks. Stay tuned!
