No. 1 Bama Enters Open Date Before Tough Stretch
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — No. 1 Alabama has a breather before starting on its toughest stretch of the season.
The Crimson Tide enjoys an open date after five double-digit wins. Alabama returns with a five-week stretch of Southeastern Conference games that includes road trips to Missouri, Tennessee and No. 4 LSU.
Visiting Bryant-Denny Stadium are No. 20 Mississippi State and Texas A&M.
Tide cornerback Dee Milliner says the weekend off comes at a good time right before "the hard part of our schedule."
A unanimous No. 1 team, Alabama is coming off its toughest game yet but still beat Mississippi 33-14.
The Tide was hit with several injuries. The most serious appeared to be receiver DeAndrew White's right knee injury on the opening drive.
