Nnamdi Asomugha To Receive Role Model Of The Year Award

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It's been a good week for Nnamdi Asomugha. First, he lived up to big expectations for the Eagles, and played a stellar game againt the Browns on Sunday. Tomorrow, he'll be awarded for his work off the field as he receives the inaugural "Role Model of the Year" award from the National Conference on Citizenship, an honor that will recognize individuals who use their public presence to give back to community.
"Nnamdi Asomugha is a leader on the field and in the community," said Michael Weiser, NCoC Chairman via press release. "We honor him with NCoC's inaugural 'Role Model of the Year Award' in recognition of his civic leadership in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay area where he was raised and went to college, and in Nigeria, the country of his heritage."
Asomugha will receive the award at approximately 4:45pm on Friday, and you can stream the presentation via the NCoC website.
