PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The first Presidential debate is Wednesday night and one of Mitt Romney's supporters hit the airwaves in force Sunday morning.
On "Meet the Press", New Jersey Governor Chris Christie acknowledged Governor Mitt Romney's sliding poll numbers.
"I'm not going to sit here and come on this morning and sugar coat the last couple of weeks, they've been tough."
But says the race is far from over.
"I'm here to tell you that it can happen very quickly back the other way and I think the beginning of that is Wednesday night, when Governor Romney for the first time gets on the same stage with the President of the United States and people can make a direct comparison about them and their visions for the future."
And Christie predicts that after the debate, Romney to pull ahead in the presidential race.
