NJ Woman, Father Plead Guilty To Murder
FREEHOLD, N.J. (AP) — A former third-grade teacher and her father have pleaded guilty to murdering the woman's ex-husband in New Jersey.
Kathleen Dorsett told a judge Thursday she sent 42-year-old Stephen Moore to his death in the backyard, where her father was waiting to kill him, in 2010.
The father, Thomas, entered a guilty plea right after her. He says he started an argument with his former son-in-law, then struck him in the head with a cable. Father and daughter then stuffed the body into the trunk of a car.
Thomas Dorsett also admitted hiring someone the next day to burn the car.
The teacher's mother, Lesley, is also due in court. She is charged with conspiracy, accused of plotting behind bars to have her daughter's former mother-in-law killed.
