NJ Transit to Begin Search for Train WiFi Provider
The New Jersey Transit will soon begin taking proposals from broadband providers in order to give customers WiFi access on trains.
KYW's Kim Glovas reports that Internet access would be another marketing tool to attract more travelers to the rails.
Nicholas is a college student who was traveling at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia:
"I would think that would be a great idea, actually. As you can see, I have my laptop with me and I was gonna do my homework on the train. I'm a university student -- a lot of passengers are university students, students in general."
Joan, who was headed to Atlantic City, also thinks it's a good idea, especially for business people:
(Joan:) "It would be wonderful."
(Glovas:) "Do you travel a lot on NJT?"
(Joan:) "Yes, for work. I would get some work done, do some Internet searches, perhaps some games."
