NJ Transit Officer Saves Man From Train Tracks
SECAUCUS, NJ (CBS) – Incredible video was released showing a New Jersey Transit officer pulling a man off train tracks just seconds before a train zooms by.
It happened on Friday near Secaucus Junction, north of Jersey City.
Police say the man was trying to kill himself, and even fought against the officer Victor Ortiz.
Officer Ortiz says he persisted and was able to pull the man off of the tracks.
Moments later, a train passes by.
New Jersey Transit praised the officer, and says it is a reminder of what police do every day to keep people safe.
