NJ Police Charge 2 In Fatal College Shooting
EAST ORANGE, N.J. (CBS/AP) - Police in New Jersey have charged two men in the fatal shooting of a Seton Hall University student over the weekend at a party.
Twenty-five-year-old Nicholas Welch was arrested at his home Monday night on the same street as the house where police say he was refused entry to the party, then returned and sprayed gunfire.
Police also charged 19-year-old Marcus Bascus, who they said may have provided the gun to Welch.
Both are charged with murder, conspiracy and weapons offenses. Welch is being held on $2 million bail. It's not known if he has an attorney. Bascus remains at large.
Nineteen-year-old Seton Hall student Jessica Moore died from her injuries Saturday afternoon, hours after the shooting.
Moore attended Upper Merion High School and was a varsity athlete who played softball and basketball in addition to being an honor student.
Four other people were injured.
