PATCO's Ashland Station Reopens After Flooding From Overnight Storms Forces Closure
VOORHEES TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) -- We have an update for commuters who use New Jersey's PATCO system. Ashland Station in Voorhees Township has reopened after flooding from overnight storms forced it to close on Thursday morning.
PATCO provided an update on Twitter just after 10 a.m. stating all trains are running on or close to schedule.
A moisture-laden storm brought downpours and gusty winds to the area after midnight Thursday. Some areas had a chance to pick up as much as two inches of rainfall, leading to flash flooding across flood-prone neighborhoods.
Meanwhile, the National Weather Service is investigating if a tornado touched down in parts of Camden County.
