NJ Narcotics Network Leader Sentenced
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — A reputed southern New Jersey street gang leader who admitted leading a narcotics network in Camden has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Prosecutors say 29-year-old Kyle Ogletree of Camden was among 14 people arrested in 2011 after a joint investigation by local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
Ogletree must serve nearly 13 years of the sentence imposed Friday before he becomes eligible for parole. He had pleaded guilty in February to racketeering charges.
Ogletree's uncle, 35-year-old Philadelphia resident Sean Ogletree, was also sentenced Friday for his role in the network's operations. He had pleaded guilty to a lesser racketeering count and was given a seven-year term.
State authorities say most of the defendants accused of roles in the drug network have pleaded guilty.
