NJ Mom Receives Perfect Christmas Surprise
BRICK Twp., N.J. - A New Jersey mom got the best surprise she could have asked for this Christmas.
Leslie Ruggerio of Ocean County figured she would be spending the holiday away from her son, Travis, who was serving a tour of duty in Afghanistan.
While attending a work holiday party, "Santa Clause" handed Leslie a note from her son that read "I'm so incredibly thankful for the love and support you have given me throughout this entire deployment. I will never forget it, or how blessed I am for having such a caring and wonderful mother."
Santa then revealed himself to be Travis, sparking a burst of emotion from Leslie.
"Christmas for me is family and so this is everything to me," she said.
She says it's a Christmas surprise she will truly never forget.
