NJ Man Enters Agreement In White House Case
WASHINGTON (AP) — A New Jersey man arrested after driving onto White House grounds the day after another man got through the front door has entered into an agreement that could lead to his case being dismissed.
A U.S. Attorney's Office spokesman says Kevin Carr of Shamong, New Jersey, agreed Wednesday to stay out of Washington and get mental health treatment. If he does well, he can ask for the unlawful entry charge to be dismissed at a May hearing.
Authorities say Carr was turned away from one White House entrance Sept. 20 after claiming he communicated with the president telepathically and had an appointment; he went by car to a different entrance, was told to park but drove further than instructed.
Carr's lawyer said he believes the agreement is a fair result.
