NJ Man Admits Distributing Child Pornography Online
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Federal prosecutors say a central New Jersey man has admitted sharing numerous images of child sexual abuse online.
Armia Alber, of East Brunswick, recently pleaded guilty to distributing child porn. He faces between five and 20 years when he's sentenced Dec. 16, and will have to register as a sex offender.
The 28-year-old Alber admitted that between March and July 2013, he was a member of an online peer-to-peer file sharing network and had more than 600 images or videos of children being sexually abused.
During this period, prosecutors say a law enforcement agent successfully downloaded multiple images and videos from Alber's home computer.
In July 2013, federal law enforcement agents executed a search warrant at Alber's home and seized two computer hard drives.
