NJ Gay Rights Advocates Determined To Keep Pushing For Same-Sex Marriage

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- New Jersey gay rights advocates are determined to keep pushing for same-sex marriage.
KYW Newsradio's Cherri Gregg with reaction to Friday's ruling (see related story).
Vince Grimm of Cape May County has been with his partner Will for 52 years. He says the ruling favoring same-sex marriage in his state is encouraging.
"It's about time. Having been through domestic partnership and civil unions, marriage would be quite nice," Grimm said.
Grimm says the past decade has been heart wrenching, with New Jersey at one point leading the country when it comes to gay rights. But Grimm says he is confident gay marriage will happen in his state, the only question is when.
"Is it going to go with a Court order if Christie doesn't fight it? If Christie does fight it, is it going to go to the next court? Or if Christie fights it, will it carry into the lame duck session and then the legislators will vote on it and then it's a pretty good chance it's going to happen then."
No matter the method, Grimm says he's looking forward to getting married.
"The only thing - I may be too old to get down on my knee and propose!"
