Night Market Philly Hosts Event In University City Thursday Night
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia's University City district is holding a night market Thursday night, a celebration of neighborhood diversity in food.
The University City Night Market will take over a two acre parking lot at 39th and Market Streets from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday.
"We're essentially turning this parking lot into an urban oasis of food and fun. So you're going to see food trucks, you're going to see tents with food vendors. You're going to see live music, craft vendors, fire performers, a beer garden," says Lori Brennan, director of marketing and communications for the University City district.
This is the second of six planned Night Markets to be held throughout the city. Two more are planned for 2011.
Their locations will be announced later at nightmarketphilly.org.
