NFL: Temple's Colin Madison Looking Forward to Linc Homecoming on Thursday
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Eagles open the preseason on Thursday night as they host the Baltimore Ravens.
This game will be the first chance for a lot of rookies on both sides to catch the eyes of a coaching staff and prove they belong.
One rookie hoping to do just that for the Ravens is Temple University product Colin Madison. A 6'4", 323-pound offensive lineman, Madison signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent this summer.
"Baltimore was a good fit for me to come here and play with a great team and great coaches," he tells KYW Newsradio.

Madison was a first team All-MAC selection as a senior at Temple. When did he first starting to think that playing pro football was a legitimate possibility for him?
"Well, you dream about it as a kid, but really, probably after my junior or sophomore year (of college)," he says.
Of course, the Temple Owls play their home games at Lincoln Financial Field, so Madison will get his first taste of NFL game action in a familiar environment.
"I played in the Linc the last four years, so I've been there plenty of times to play. So now it's just going to be a different atmosphere, an NFL atmosphere. And going up against the Eagles, which is another great team, so I've just got to play my best and make everyone proud."
Madison heads into the first preseason game listed on the Ravens' web site as the third team left tackle.
