Newest Eagle Matt Barkley Not 'Scared' Of QB Competition
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Eagles fourth round draft pick, Matt Barkley, joined Reuben Frank on SportsRadio 94WIP on Sunday.
With quarterbacks Michael Vick and Nick Foles already on the Eagles roster, Barkley is embracing the competitive quarterback battle.
"Yeah, it will be a full quarterback room and I'm not shy, or nervous, or scared, or anything about that," Barkley told Frank on 94 WIP. "I think it just spurns competition and the fact that you get to learn from a vet like Michael [Vick] and compete against, I've known Nick Foles for awhile now."
Barkley was asked about the quarterback competition that is likely to play out during training camp.
"No matter what happens, I am looking forward to just coming in and just competing. I can't really control what the coaches decide to do, but if I give it my all good things should happen," Barkley explained.
