New York Man Charged With 2012 Double Murder In Philadelphia
NEW YORK, NY (CBS) – A New York man has been arrested for a double murder that happened in Philadelphia back in December.
Marco Joaquin, an 18-year-old from Manhattan, was arrested on May 6th for the murder of 29-year-old Dwayne Page, of Reedland Street in Philadelphia, and Anthony Fletcher, a 33-year-old from Chester Avenue.
Police say Joaquin is believed responsible for the homicides, which happened on December 22nd. Both victims were shot inside an apartment building on Chester Avenue. Fletcher, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, was pronounced dead at the scene, while Page succumbed to a gunshot wound to the chest at the University of Pennsylvania on Sunday, December 23rd.
A third victim suffered gunshot wounds to the face and chest and was transported to HUP in critical but stable condition.
Joaquin is now charged with Murder, Attempted Murder, Criminal Conspiracy, Burglary, Robbery, Violation of the Uniform Firearms Act and related offenses.
