New Year's Warning
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - New Year's Eve has been called amateur night over the years in a derisive way. That's because the message is one of the fact that many people drink far too much alcohol in a short period of time and then try to return home late at night or early in the morning. The result can be tragic.
It is obvious that if you plan to go out and drink alcohol as part of the celebration you need to have a designated driver or you need to stay off the road. Hopefully you will use better judgment and if you are not drinking you still need to worry this evening.
It is important that you protect yourself in whatever way possible. Wear seatbelts, stay alert and above all you need to be vigilant about others who may not be as careful.
You want to see 2011 and celebrate a new year.
