New Tiger Woods Learning Center Opens In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A new Tiger Woods Learning Center is open at a North Philadelphia school. But it's not teaching golf.
"First we had to build the frame with the metal bars," Freshman Ramel Bolger describes the robot he built at the new Tiger Woods Learning Center at the Cristo Rey school.
The after-school center provides science, technology, engineering and math education for the freshmen and sophomores here.
Cristo Rey president John McConnell says the Tiger Woods Foundation and a Wayne-based insurance company make it happen.
"The foundation and USLI fund the teacher, the equipment, the curriculum, the computers, it's a really comprehensive program that all comes from them."
It's the sixth such center for the Tiger Woods Foundation, and the second in Philadelphia.
