New Surveillance Video Of Woman Who Kidnapped 5-Year-Old Released
by Mark Abrams and Dray Clark
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police have released a new piece of video showing the alleged kidnapper of a 5-year-old girl from a West Philadelphia elementary school.
Police say the video, taken by a camera at an area business, captures the area of 61st and Larchwood, just blocks from the school and shows the alleged female kidnapper passing by on her way to the school and then passing the camera again with the girl in tow.
Police say they hope release of the video will bring them a step closer to finding the kidnappers of the little girl, who was taken from the classroom by a woman on Monday, Jan. 14.
A reward that now totals $80,000 has been issued, and police say they are now looking for the woman – who was dressed in Muslim garb and identified herself as Rashida - who took the child from the Bryant Elementary School.
They also are looking for a man connected with the case, and the other day identified an unknown teenager who they believe goes by the name "China" as a person of interest in the case.
