New Series Alert
By Valerye Griffin
The CW will be premiering, "Containment", a fascinating drama chronicling the effects of a contagious deadly virus outbreak in Atlanta, Georgia. The extent of this strange, unknown disease causes an area of the city to be quarantined, ripping loved ones apart perhaps indefinitely. David Gyasi plays "Alex 'Lex' Carnahan", an officer who becomes the face of mediation between those enclosed in the detained area and the high-ranking authorities looking for answers.
The cast of "Containment" includes familiar CW stars like Claudia Black (The Originals) who stars as "Dr. Sabine Lommers", and Chris Wood (The Vampire Diaries, The Carrie Diaries) who is "Jake", the best friend of Gyasi's character. Christina Moses will play "Jana", girlfriend to "Alex" who is inside the quarantined area.
Julie Plec, a co-creator of The Originals and a writer-producer for The Vampire Diaries, developed "Containment".
