New On Television: Familiar Faces In New Series
By Bob Nelson
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Next week promises delivery of a couple of long-awaited TV series.
First, this Sunday sees the birth of "The Newsroom," a new series scheduled for HBO and the first series to be directed by Aaron Sorkin, a TV stalwart who hasn't directed a television program in six years.
Jeff Daniels (top photo) appears as the series mainstay.
Then, come Thursday, June 28th, the long-awaited return of the popular but controversial Charlie Sheen -- who, you will recall ran afoul of the series "Two And A Half Men" before being bounced.
He's now on a series titled "Anger Management," booked on FX.
