New LeBow Hall Is Dedicated at Drexel University

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Drexel community today officially opened and dedicated the new, $92-million home of the university's college of business.
Gerri C. LeBow Hall, at 32nd and Market Streets in University City, is the new home of Drexel's LeBow College of Business.
It's 12 stories tall and more than 177,000 square feet, and a center for innovation, says provost Mark Greenberg.
"This is now Drexel's largest academic building. Its 17 new, digitally equipped classrooms already are fully booked and in use," he said.
In front of a crowd that included Gov. Tom Corbett, David Hunt of the Class of 2014 made a pledge:
"On behalf of my fellow students, I know -- actually, as a matter of fact, I promise -- that we will use this building to its maximum potential," Hunt said.
Bennett S. LeBow, the benefactor after whom the school is named, donated $45 million for the building now bearing his name of his late wife.
The building replaces Matheson Hall, which was demolished in 2011.
