New Jersey State Trooper Dismissed After Disorderly Conduct Charge

BERLIN, N.J. (CBS) – A New Jersey State Trooper who had accused superiors of sexual misconduct is out of a job, but not because of her claims.
Officials in the Camden County Prosecutor's office confirm Trooper Alexis Hayes was, in fact, let go after she pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct.
Hayes was accused of attacking a police officer who responded to a domestic disturbance at her Berlin home two years ago.
She came to the public's attention after accusing a superior of sexually assaulting and impregnating her while both were in Pittsburgh attending a funeral.
Pennsylvania officials never prosecuted.
Hayes also suggested a female instructor at the New Jersey State Police Academy sexually harassed her. The case was dismissed because it was filed too late and most of the disciplinary charges against the instructor were thrown out by an administrative law judge.
