MOUNT LAUREL, NJ (CBS) - There's a new resource for breast cancer survivors in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey and for many women it's life-changing.
Rose Marie Beauchemin, of the Beau Institute of Permanent and Corrective Cosmetics in Mount Laurel New Jersey, says they're offering what's being called the "Day of Hope" for breast cancer survivors.
"Day of Hope is a time where another practitioner and I will be working on breast cancer survivors that have had mastectomies and have never completed the process from the reconstruction."
She says a lot of women who undergo treatments and surgeries choose to end the process once they're healthy, because they've been through so much already.
"They're in need of the areola tattooing, possibly not even a nipple has been grafted so we will do a three-dimensional tattoo on them to make it look real and basically complete their journey."
And this resource is free. The next Day of Hope takes place June 13th, but there will be others scheduled as needed and Beauchemin says everyone who applies for treatment will be accepted.
