New Jersey Braces For Yet Another Winter Storm
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- New Jersey is facing a couple of days of winter weather that could snarl motorists and force officials to once again close schools.
The National Weather Service says a storm coming from the Midwest will bring a prolonged period of precipitation from about midnight Monday into Wednesday.
A winter storm warning has been issued for the northern half of the state through Wednesday afternoon.
No part of the state is going to escape the precipitation, but snow and ice accumulations are expected to be greater to the north and west.
Forecasters are calling for snow from late Monday night into Tuesday before it mixes with or changes to sleet and freezing rain.
The weather service says there's a potential for up to half an inch of ice by Wednesday morning, which could lead to widespread power outages.
