New Delaware Law Prohibits Dog Owners From Leaving Pet Outside During Hazardous Weather Conditions

DOVER, Del. (CBS) -- There's now a law protecting dogs from bad weather. Delaware Gov. John Carney signed the bill Wednesday.

Dog owners can no longer leave their pet outside during hazardous weather conditions.

The law also prohibits dogs from running around without a leash.

Fines start at $100.
